Situated in the Lake District, two miles from Windermere, Hill Farm Stud has, since 1988, been a successful equine venture - owned and run in a family partnership by Judi, Everley and son Simon Buckley. Prior to 1988, it was a 93 acre, tenanted farm.

The equine business now concentrates on competition liveries, stud services, schooling, breaking and private lessons.

Aims and objectives

The aim is to ‘bring on’ well adjusted young horses to a competitive career. Not all the youngsters we produce will be show jumping superstars, some will fulfil their potential in other disciplines, some may be sold before they realise their full potential and hopefully some will partner Simon on to greater things.

Along the way we will advise and mentor those competitors who would like our advice. Not everyone wants to tread the path that we have taken, but it has always been – and hopefully always will be - an extremely rewarding way of life.
