Welcome to Hill Farm
Situated in the Lake District, 2 miles from Windermere on the A591, Hill Farm has, since 1988, been a successful equine venture - owned and run by Judi and Everley Buckley with assistance from their son, Simon. Prior to 1988, it was a 93 acre, tenanted farm.
Facilities
Include:-
Indoor school 120 ft x 70 ft. ‘Artiturf’ surface.
17 Loddon Stables in American Barn adjacent to indoor school.
6 Block built stables overlook the yard, with day room and tack room on lower level.
6 Looseboxes in converted barns and including another tack room.
All tack rooms are alarmed and the Yard has security lighting and ample parking.
HAY AND HAYLAGE
All hay and haylage is home grown. Only hard feed is bought in.
TURNOUT
Summer Turnout (May-Oct inclusive): is in single sex fields- with electric fencing.
Winter Turnout: limited to one paddock and available on a rota basis. The Outdoor Arena is 65m x 45m. (Planning permission granted Aug 2008). Construction early 2009.

Westmorland Veterinary Group (Jane King) is the equine veterinary group servicing the yard. They make regular visits and can usually include more than one client on these occasions. Additional vets come on to the yard, by arrangement with individual clients.
Livery
At Hill Farm we provide all types of livery with all options accommodated.
Guideline prices:-
DIY Winter-horse. £47per week. This includes:

All hard feed (no supplements)
1-bale shavings per week
Haylage
Use of facilities.

Grass livery only (May-Oct): from £20per week.
Full livery (Stabled and exercise): £145per week.
Full Livery (Grass and Exercise): £95 per week.
*All veterinary, medicines & shoeing are extra

HORSES CAN BE TAKEN FOR COMPETITION TRAINING
WE SPECIALIZE IN BREAKING AND SCHOOLING
All entries travelling and stabling whilst away incur extra charges.
Lessons
We are not a riding school but give lessons to clients on their own horses.

Hill Farm is very much a family concern but, in addition and crucially, three full-time staff are employed, all with equine qualifications.
